Some Help Please

zippobsquared Jan 29, 2004 01:53 PM

Um yeah, I am newer to owning reptiles, and just got an adult female beardie from a store. I got a great deal, but they didn't answer many of my questions. The most important one is how much do I need to feed her a day? I already give a salad in the morning and a whole bunch of bugs later in the day.

I've noticed she moves along the glass during the day and tries to scratch her way out, I don't know why. She will have food in her bowl, she has water and the temperature is 105F on the basking spot and 80F for the rest of the tank, so Help please.

Thanks

Although some adult dragons will eat their weight in crix, they shouldn't have them everyday. It causes fatty liver.
Adults should have a varied salad daily and crix or other form of protein about every other day.
Check out good veggies/foods at www.beginnersbasics.com and www.beautifuldragons.com.
Did the store tell you they need suppliments also? Calcium w/d3 and Vitamins? UVB?
Just checkin..sometimes pet stores give wrong info..
Congrats on your new girl!!
