I was thinking of getting a spotted turtle I would like an adult, just wondering about the price of a mature spotted turtle, also if anyone knows the legality of owning one In NY it would be appreciated thanks

As for purchasing a spotted, I would purchase from a hobbyist, if you can find one, not a wholesaler. A friend recently purchased an adult male from a wholesaler, and judging by the price, availability, and size of the animal, I'm quite sure it was WC.

There is a breeder on Long Island named Ken who breeds some of the best spotteds I've seen. He is the one who has the albino Florida box in the picture gallery.

I do not work with spotteds anymore. I stopped a few years ago. Sorry!!!

The Florida Box is owned by a good friend of mine. I just post pictures of it once in a while!! I just love that animal so much!!!! It is one of the most beautiful animals I have ever seen!!!!!
