I recently got a beardie from a pet store. I have taken sick and injured herps that they could not sell before.this little girl is about half the size of her clutch mates. she was eating about 4-5 chrickets a day and only a bite or two of greens mixed with saturated beardie pellets. then I gave her some meal worms and now that is all she will eat. How can I get her interested in crickets and her salad again? what other things can i do to help her gain weight/other foods/ methods of feeding/feeding frequency ect. How much to to much food? than you for listening and any help will be greatly apprceated

I would first have a fecal done to rule out parasites. Parasites are probably the number one cause of inappetance in beardies. Then you can try offering silkworms ( I would get the small size for a little beardie like yours. They are nutritious, easy to digest, and easy to catch (they sit in the bowl and wait to be eaten.)

What is your set up like?

thanks for responding so quickly. I set up a fecal today after reading some of the posts in here. Dose most pet stores have silkworns or do you have to special order them? I dont think the one localy carries them. I have a ten gallon glass tank,i got some shelf liner to put in the bottom ( i read that it works well from some of the posts also)I have a hood with uv heat lights in it and a basking light in one end. I also have a small lid i use for a food bowl, and one for water. I have never seen her drink from it though. I mist her once a day usually untill she stopes licking the dropes. there is also a small pice of wood that is bigger around and flat on the top that reggy likes to sit on and bask. Is there any other things I could do to enshure her health and happyness?
thank you michelle
