That is a nice looking snake.

I did't hear your reply, you said there is no such place as Hogg Island. But what does cochino mean? It has been a while since I have taken spanish but if I remember correctly, cochino means pig or hog. Hence the name Hogg island.

Here is the translation

cayos de los cochinos = keys of the pigs

cochino = filthy

You never experience life until you have kids..then you realize what you should have done rather then what you did do

Hey thanks for the reply. I would think they would be called the Hogg island(s) boa not singular or the "Hogg Isle" boa would probably the most correct term but I dont think you could say my boa came from Hogg island because if you wanted a local specific snake you would ask which one? You can say my boa came from the Hogg Isle or Hogg islands. I dont really know, I was just trying to get a debate going no one wanted to join in lol Im not an expert in Hoggs by any means. I am still really interested to know if those beauties really came from the islands though. Im not sure anyone has proof I was told by more than one person they were called Hogg island boas because they wanted to differentiate the look of this particular BCI not necessarily that they were actually caught there on one of the islands. But oh well who cares they are gorgeous snakes and obviously different Thanks!
