Lakodas doing it, that thing only collareds do, that looks so darn funny, while basking, feet sticking staight up. They look like cartoon characters ! lol

I've seen other species do it too. For example, my box turtles do the same thing, and also run on their hind legs.

of other lizards, but none do it quite like these guys.

They might not RUN on their hind legs, but I had a male ornate which WOULD stand up for food. He wasn't technically standing on his own two feet, he sort of propped himself up with his hind legs underneath him, kind of like a two-legged picture frame (best analogy I can come up with right now).

Leopard lizards do the "pose" as well (crotaphytine, so I guess it runs in the family).

I remember as a kid having box turtles that would seem to stand and balance to grab something from your hand !

lol,is it a heat thing,what with there toes being so small?ive seen all mine do it and its mostly on the basking rock that they do this.
