If a 55 gallon split in half...

If a 55 gallon split in half is like a 20 gallon, why cant I house a BP on either side of it with a divider?

I dont see a prob with it except if one gets sick the other still has a greater chance of getting sick

keep in mind though a 55 gallon is 4 feet long, split down the middle you're looking at 2-24 inch spots, thats the dimensions of a 15 gallon tank not a 20 long, and i'd say 15 gallons is too small even for a small male
