Many colubrid snake eggs can be incubated at warm flucutating room temperatures. In fact many reptile and amphibian eggs can be incubated this way.

If you need more control that that a very simple way is to put some water in an aquarium or styrofoam cooler and heat it with an aquarium heater.

This obviously produces very wet conditions which is not ideal for all species.

As much as I like Uromastyx I've never incubated their eggs. This is perhaps better asked on the Uro forum, if you have not done so already.

I know it used to be popular to incubate eggs from desert dwelling lizards on a dry substrate but with 100% humidity, but don't know how that works with Uro's.

I know most of us like to make our own, but LLL Reptile has a Hovabator package that comes with vermiculite and deli cups for around $36. Seems to be a pretty good deal if you don't live in an area with farming activity. Living where I do, we have Farm & Fleet... Hovabators are readily accesible for around $30.
