Ornates

CokeofMan Jun 07, 2003 10:48 AM

I'm thinking about buying a frog and i'm not sure what frog to buy. I've been looking at the Ornate and some treefrogs. Now I wonder is the ornate any fun (to watch that is), i mean is lying around all day digging it self in to the ground it does? Else i'm thinking about maybe White's tree frog, but please tell me aboute the ornate.

Thanks in advance

I assume you are talking about ornate horned frogs. They are not exactly exciting, though I love all my horned frogs all the same. If you want an active frog, get a firebelly toad. They are active almost all the time it seems. Whites tree frogs do make good captives as well, but they are very highly nocturnal and are not up that much during the day time. Andy

I have a cranwelli but I like the name pacman better.I believe they are very simular to what you are looking at.VERY lazy, will stay in the same spot for days, but very cool looking and is really fun to feed.I also have FBT and they are wonderful, active but also loud sometimes,I only have 2 but it can sound like 10 ! This is a picture of my little Chubbs!
