I have been housing monitors for years and always trying to simplify. I found a nice little trick the other day that works like a charm. When my water monitor soaks, if I have time, I'll sit there for a few minutes cleaning his dead skin off. Most of it doesn't want to come off. I grabbed an OLD toothbrush and started scrubbing him from head to toe. Nearly every bit of skin and evertything else came off with ease and he seemed to like it. So now he gets brushed once a week. I know it sounds stupid, but if you haven't tried it, you should. If any one else has any little tid bits I would like to hear them, especially with large monitor care.
