Dexter's nose is bleeding

jakeleolizard Jan 30, 2004 12:06 PM

Hi all,

I came home last night and noticed that Dexter's nose is all bloody... from jumping up to the top of the cage... I know some of you have contended with this before... what do you do? Will he stop if it hurts? I hate to see it get any worse, but don't know what to do about it... AND I am not able to go home tonight after work Can I get some sort of heat resistant plastic or vinyl screen and put it below the wire screen top to help protect him? Can I put anything on his nose?

Bummed.
JIM

antibiotic ointment you may have. Lil dab will do ya

I go through this alot with my big guy Kong, hes so spoiled now as far as coming out and running, that when I leave him in he jumps up and bust his nose open.

Then he gets his way and gets out. You may want to get others opinions on rigging something soft below the screen.
I have never tried it, because I want the screen open for ventilation !

Put that ointment on his nose. Vaseline even if ya have it.

Eve
