I don't know how superworms are different than mealworm other than size, but supposedly their are rare cases of geckos getting impacted from the Chitin in mealworms, that could be it if the superworms have lots of Chitin as well.

should i put them back on the regular sized mealwormsi got from a different place, or is there anything to help with the impacttatio if they have it?

superworms have less chitin than mealworms. the amount of chitin of a large mealworm is more than the amount of chitin of a superworm. as for the impaction, what kind of substrate do you keep your leos on. try puttin it in a warm bath, also a few drops of mineral oil in the water dish should help loosen things up. also if the problem continues, you should think about takin it to the vet, it mite have parasitical ailments.

i use that zoomeds calcium sand

paradisio Jan 30, 2004 01:23 PM

Most likely impaction then... sand is the devil for leos, even if some don't have problems with sand, some do.
