Building a Tank

Has anyone ever tried to build a RES tank...75 gallons or more? I was thinking about making it from Acrylic w/ a stand and canopy. I haven't really put any thought into it yet, because I just thought of it. Would any one have any suggestions? Thanks

I haven't but I think it would be fun..

as for Acrylic, I heard that it scratches easily and isn't the best option for turtles... but I don't know this first hand - I heard it when I was picking out my tank. The Acrylic ones I was looking at was larger and more expensive, but the store owner said it wouldn't be good for turltes.
