Do you have to prepare playsand? I got it from HomeDepot. It says that it has been cleaned and filtered.
Also I am going to do shelf liner and put in a sandbox. Any good ideas for what to use as a sand box. Would plastic harbor bacteria??

Yea, take the sand and sift it through a fine screen. Even though it says it's been cleaned and sifted, there are always large pieces in there that need to be sifted.
I would think plastic for the sandbox would be much better then wood... wood harbors all kinds of things. I'd clean and disinfect the sandbox everytime you changed the sand.
