Okay, I know that WTF tend to change colors, but is this a "several times a day" thing? My Cartman (WTF) is Green in the AM, and usually a healthy looking brown in the evening. He eats his crickets, and is very inventive w/ his style in doing this.
He loves his little water dish, and bathes in it..he seems happy. I try not to handle him too much, but he is sooo cute!! I just love him!
I moved him into a 20 gallon tank and put fresh substrate and put a "jungle" paper up on 3 sides of the tank which he appears to love, so he has some scenery, I will be getting some "WTF safe" plants to add in there, but I am wondering... I can't get the humidity down below 70%.. I've put dry substrate in (use bed a beast..and let it dry before putting it in). I dont' have the H2O bowl on the heating pad side...and I don't mist, being the humidity is so high already... his temp is great.. steady 78degrees - 80 during the day..and a tad bit lower at night... I have 1 "pet store" plastic plant..and its small, and I dried it out completely before putting it in..not sure what the issue is w/ humidity.
I have one more concern..the guy I bought my larger tank from, he owns a huge reptile/amphibian store where I live, he told me to feed my little WTF 20 crickets per day!!!!! He usually eats 3 or 4..and he's good... I've never heard anyone tell me to feed them that much.. what do you all say? I had been feeding him 4 - 5 every few days, but now feed him 2 one day, 3 the next.. am I over or underfeeding him???
want him to be happy...
