Hi: How large are mantis when they hatch? What do you folks house them in while they are growing larger to feed to the Chams? I already do tons of Fruit Flies for my Darts and this would not be a difficult aspect of raising the Mantis, but the housing requirement I need some info on. Also, how long before the Mantis will reach size that is right to feed off? Thanks-Maggie

hello, i breed mantids. and i house them after about L3 or 3rd molt in individual styrofoam cups with screen covering the top and a rubber band securing it. i know high tech right. well it works so why ruin it? right. i hope you dont think im telling you this to fail just because your feeding them to chameleons. i am getting chameleons and will probably sacrafise the odd mantis or two. what kind of chameleons do you have? are they breeding? if they breed i might be interested in a baby or two... please email me at reptilemaniac8@comcast.net. thank you very much
