btw...the highest setting on them is 90 degrees
oh wait shoot...they only go to 80 degrees...
I'm not an electrician, but I believe these are house thermostats, which would have to be mounted in the room, or at least cage. In other words, the unit itself would need to be heated/cooled to work, whereas most reptile thermostats use probes, so you don't need the thermostat in the enclosure. I think these also get hardwired into the house, but reptile thermostats plug into the wall and the heating elements plug into the thermostat.
