For Blizzards, snows:
Lillith, Frostwork, Snowblind, Effigy, Spectre, Gloam, Phagocyte, Shiro (Whitey).
For brightly colored:
Banshee, Erythrocyte, Glare, Flare, w00t (my sinaloan milk is named this), Atsuko (hot child, or child of fire), Asuka
General:
Rhyme, Melody, OMG (one mean gecko, if she turns out to be a biter, this one's really cool in that everytime she bites someone and they happen to yell out "Oh my God!"
, SiO4 (chemical formula for quartz, but made to mean Sold (or any other S word) in '04), Melanoma (name of a cancer, but if your gecko's really dark, then I guess it's not a bad name), Kannon, Tomoko (friendly child), Maiko, Utsuri (name of a type of steel grain of a Katana), Michiko (road child, i.e. nomad), Sae (sad girl), Hikari (light, err... like sunshine).
I've got a million more in my head. Use your imagination, if you're like me and want the name to have some meaning then just tell me what you want it to mean. I'm also fluent in Japanese, and japanese people have pretty cool names (asian people in general have cool names), so I can tell you a bunch more of those and their meanings if you want.
