this may not be of much use to you, as i realize that the following is not very common of the species, but here goes:
mine is a very even tempered snake. he has never struck at me and rarely even rattles. he's not a strong eater, having eaten only two fuzzies since i got him (nov. 20), but this might be the result of a brumation.
he is not terribly active, and is actually quite shy. most of his time is spent curled up on the warm side of the tank (typically high 80's/low 90's daytime) or in his hide spot.
he's kept in a 10g aquarium with a locking lid (though he's not really an 'escape risk,' better to err on the side of caution). for substrate i use aspen. there are some twigs and such propped up for climbing and rubbing, though he doesn't bother with them, thus making the solely ornamental. also, there is a small waterbowl (which i have never seen him use, though obviously he must), and a hollow log hide spot.
i can't really vouch for venom potency, though from what i've read they are every bit as potent as they're larger 'cousins'. however, less venom is injected per bite, decreasing the chance of fatality. a bite would probably cost you a finger/hand.

hope this was of some use....
