Im planning to.

My colony is about 40 roaches right now but the adults are too big for him to eat (i tried he dosnt know what to do with them) and the nymphs are still too small for him.

In a few weeks the little ones will have more meat on them (to get a little bigger than a cricket) then ill be feeding them off.

The breeder i got my dragon from fed them hissers.

I have been looking at them as an alternative because they seem to have alot of benfits others don't. Very low maintenance, compared to silkies. High nutrition content if feed right. Easy/low mess to keep, and they seem to be a pretty easy recurring food source.

I feed a variety of roaches. I have not used them as a staple but when I had problems getting crix I started using a lot of roaches for about a week or so. I found that my baby beardies were happier with the roaches and seem to color up more. When offered a choice of crix or roaches, they always pick roaches. my problem eaters were not a problem with roaches (some of those problem eaters were no problem when they were switched to pellets).

It seems that roaches digest better and easier than do crix too. I only feed juvie roaches to my Beardies, no adults except for lobsters. they have what I believe to be the lowest amount oc chiton. But lobsters are small and an adult lobster can usually be eaten by a juvie Beardie.
