corns and vibrations..

mattlogsdon Jan 30, 2004 11:34 PM

hello all, i have a 1 year old corn snake, female, and everytime i put on music from the band CRASS (the speakers are near her cage) she comes out of her hiding place and gets as close to the speakers as she can inside her cage.. i play CRASS alot. like atleast once aday... does this mean shes used the vibrations and it comforts her? or is she just a punk rock snake? its perplexing... -matt

Snakes dont like it when you jam.Someone else here asked the same question and they were asked if they liked earthquakes.I had to move the sub woofer on my puter farther away and it now sits on dense foam.

i dunno... i used to wonder about that with the tarantulas i used to keep. i play the didjeridu (big aboriginal instrument) and play music all the time, and it seemed as though they'd always come out of their hides and chill towards the sound, whatever it was. it didn't seem to stress them in any way, just seemed like they were spectating, checkin things out. but then again, tarantulas might rely a bit more on vibration. and now my corn is always in his hide, except for his head which he sticks out and is always watching us play xbox. i think he just likes to know whats going on.
