I'm planning a new viv for my gold mantellas. In Marc Staniszewski's book on mantellas, he mentions Pandanus plants, forests, leaves several times in describing the golden mantella's habitat, though it is not in his list of recomended plants. I know there are several species of this plant, but he doesn't specify which species. The most commonly available is pandanus utilis, which is beautiful, but has sharp spines on the leaves, which may or may not be a problem. I also don't know if these might just grow too fast to be practical in a viv.
anyone have any info?
