What is the best wattage for getting temps in the mid 80's???? thank you

There is no definite answer to that question because it all depends on the temperature of the room. If the room the tank is in is at 70 degreesF then you'll need a smaller wattage bulb than if your room is at 65 degreesF. However, your best bet is probablly going to be around 60 or 75 watts, unless your room is so cold that you can see your breath in it, but if that was the case, you shouldn't be keeping your leo in there =) And just as a recommendation, get the light bulbs that give off a "true" white light. Sylvania makes one called "daylight" and I know GE makes one too. This just makes for a truer white light, and better shows your leos true colors, especially when taking pictures. Hope that helped.

Forgot to mention, I'm using a 75 watt Sylvania Daylight bulb in conjunction with a UTH on a thermostat to keep my tank at about 88-90 degreesF.
