I beg to differ...I believe they will eat vegetation at any age and frankly the sap in ficus can certainly be an irritant if consumed in large amounts. This is true of pothos as well, another commonly used herp plant. Typically, they do not eat enough to warrant concern and veiled being the only species that eats vegetation these plants are perfectly safe for most.
Luna has taken an occasional bite of both with no ill effects, but Tony, if your cham is eating a lot try offering him some other alternative greens and fruit. Put some dandelion greens, or others in a cup. Do you cup feed? Put the veggies in with your crix and he'll get some by accident and then say "mmmm, much better than ficus!" LOL
But seriously, if his hydration is good just offer him some selection. I am no expert, but that is from my experience with Luna and what I have learned here. Keep us posted
