I just give hide boxes to my females (alhtought it doesn't hurt to give them to everybody ). They are only used for egg laying otherwise they go unnoticed by most cresteds. A light evening spray is all they really need to reach their humidity requirements .

I agree Mike, only my laying females use them except 1 group.

I think I have a male that is anti-social. He is a RED male. and I have one of those ESU stump looking things..... he runs in it when I turn the light on and then sticks his nose out to see if im "coming to get him" lol The female uses it all the time too to hide (shes only 7-8 months old and hes about 11 months old.) And I only have it over paper towels... not moist with anything.
