but I have also used the Coolpix 950, 995, and 5700. Currently we also have the CP4500 and CP3100 besides my D100. I'm might possibly get rid of my 3100 and get the Nikon SQ...I really want to try the new 8700 as well...!

I use a Olympus c-700.
Although it takes some nice pics, I would go with a different camera next time. Does not have the zoom capabilities I wanted. I can zoom pretty well, but some snakes you just do not want to get too close to in order to get that 'close up'.

I really think this camera is the best bang for your buck. It has a whopping 10x optical zoom, with a 2.5 inch lcd view monitor, and it's a perfect 3megapixels. Do a search for current prices. Later
