regurgitating brown liquid

tkulp Jan 31, 2004 05:44 PM

Can anyone help me diagnose the problem with my 4.5 year old male dragon? For about 3 days he occasionally gags up about 1/2 teaspoon of brown liquid that looks like tobacco juice. His body kind of convulses and he starts licking his mouth and sometimes brown liquid comes out. I took him to the vet today, she put him on Baytril and did a fecal and x-rays, the fecal was negative for parasites and the x-rays didn't reveal any obstruction. She sent out blood work so we'll see on Monday if he has evidence of an infection but for now we are giving him the Baytril. She thought the brown stuff was stomach fluid and is somewhat perplexed what could be causing it.
