DHL Watering

cable_hogue Jan 31, 2004 06:15 PM

Hey All!
I know this has been mentioned a time or two but I have to post it again. Reason being, I just learned the trick and overcame my reservation about "raining" on my DHL's with a spray bottle. I have tried it a time or two but it always seemed to send them off in a panic and the last thing I wanted to do was stress them. So I used the eye-dropper method, which seemd to be ok. Well, a week or so ago I just decided to rain on them and see how they handled it. As usual, their first reaction was to start to dart away. But then they froze and seemed to be willing to endure it. Then to my amazement they both stood up verticle at the edge of one of the small rocks and just drank it up! Pretty amazing. Well, I just wanted to post this in case anyone else has had similar reservations about providing rain.
Any tips from you seasoned pro's is much appreciated.
Cheers!
