Hey, I guess no one's responding here so I'll give it a shot.
The easiest from must be the bullfrog. It's easy to hand-feed, will eat just about anything(but be careful of goldfish, salty foods and slugs,) and can endure pretty cold nights. It grows fast and will stay in one place as long as there's enough food, space and the water temp is warm.
I should know. I've raised them for a few years at a time. They'll hide during the day, move around at night a little, and pretty much sit around in a small pond even without a fence to stop them from travelling. But of course, only an inside pond, or one well within fenced boundaries.
I'm trying to get more info too, but no one's interested in bullfrogs for some reason. All these African clawed frogs and weird exotics. Sheesh.
