Okay, I reread the message. It depends on whats on top of them, if it is simply dirt than you shouldn't worry about it, if there is a heavy rock and the dirt isn't pack more solid than the tunnel might colapse. Man, my friggin' mouse is going crazy on me. Keeps trying to load something.
