Im on a tight budget but I have lots of room.... I probably going to make it about 4-5 ft wide about 12 ft long and about 6-6.5 ft high. Im going to use 2x4's and chicken wire, is that good enough for him?

heat is not a problem, my room is warm and im getting two 48' florencent VU bulbs plus ill put his day/night bulb somewhere.... and if I dont use chicken wire, how will he be able to climb on the walls and stuff? plus that stuff is expensive
I would get some plastic chicken wire. I dont have plexi glass on my iguanas. BUT you have to mist alot more. I mist 4 times a day. Good luck,
Randyrhoads,
Glad to hear that you are building a cage for your ig. I used screen on my one ig cage and don't seem to have any heating problems. Now, my house is about 80 to 82 degrees year round. I can't stand the cold as much as my critters can't. I agree that you will have to watch the humidty too. Good luck with the cage. If you do go with the plexi glass you can use large branches inside the cage for him to climb and get around on. You can also fasten branches to the sides and back of the cage. Have fun building his new home.
Best of luck,
JS
