I have read in many post and books that chameleons do not drink from standing water but mine seems to. I place his water is a clear glass bowl and seems to drink out of it with out a water dripper.

if te water gets a shine off the lights he mostlikly will since that is what gets there attion when it drips
Sometimes chams learn to, sometimes they don't. No problem as long as you a) don't rely on this only, and keep the cage humid regardless, and b) keep the water REALLY clean.
Ya, my uncle had a Jackson's that would drink from a water bowl, some chams will drink from a mouse water bottle too, yet some will dehydrate with a bowl of water right next to them, I guess it just varies fom cham to cham, it sure would make it easier though!
