If a boa wasn't fed enough durning the first two years of it's life what would the lasting effects be, or would there be any?
I think you bring up an intersting question.
I would think as long as the snake was then fed properly and received the nourishment it needs it would be fine. Granted it may be smaller than the average snake of similar age and type, but I believe it would be fine.......assuming there were no major problems once it got to that point before being fed properly.

The reason I ask this is because I bought a Female Red Tail Boa that is about4-5 feet long and weighs almost 4 pounds. I was wondering if this might have been a snake that wasn't fed enough. What does everyone think? Is this a good weight for a 4-5 foot snake?
I do not think it is too light as to be considered unhealthy. On the other hand, it would need a good amount of weight added before breeding her.
