breeding...

JennaLeigh Jun 07, 2003 02:57 PM

If I had a female mate with my male ONLY ONCE, would she still lay clutches all season long or just one clutch? Because I read in one of my book I got awhile ago that the females store the sperm to keep reproducing all season...? I'm curious b/c I think I might start breeding my geckos sometime soon. Thanks

Yes, she will store the sperm. She will lay anywhere from 1 clutch to 8 clutches.

I'm wondering the same thing. I've gotten 2 clutches out of my female, but I had to put them together both times. She hasnt layed any eggs since May 13, and shes not gravid now.
