I would like to have one to do routine weight measurements on my Cham. Is there one that you folks like, feel is accurate, and is of reasonable cost. Thanks you-Maggie

I did some searching and didn;t want to pay $60 for a postal digi-scale. I ended up getting a "Good Cook" digital scale for about $25 and it is perfect.

Opinions? Thanks-maggie
there were a bunch there - which were you looking at? You want something with grams and will go to a weight high enough for the potential weight of your cham(s).
What I like about the one I got is the tray. I lay a branch across the tray with Luna on it and she stays still. So look for one with a tray or large enough pad to put a container with your cham in.
btw, any name yet??

Another approach to scales to consider. These are manual, inexpensive, and come in various gram sensitivities and weight ranges. They are used a lot by field biologists weighing birds, small animals, herps ect. Go to http://www.forestry-suppiers.com and search for Pesola scales. I've used them for years. They never need batteries, don't need zeroing out or calibrating, always work, etc. Sometimes simpler is better. Basically you clip the scale to a branch or piece of cloth that the cham is clinging to and weigh the whole thing. Then subtract the weight of the cloth or branch...you've got the cham's weight.
Hi Lele: Yeah, I'm still stuck with no name for the fella. My son wants to name him Experiment 624(or some number)-hehe. Does someone on this forum have a Cham named Stitch? I wouldn't want to have 2 Stitches running around. I really loved that movie. About the scale: I just pulled up the page with all the digital scales that could do grams. But, I have NO idea which one of those would be right. Mechanical, technical, electrical things baffle me to death!!! If you've time and look at the site again, give me a recommendation or another. Thanks so much Lele! How's Luna? Maggie
