aquatic frog losing skin

Hi, We bought my daughter a betta and an aquatic frog last night at petsmart. They are in a 2gal. aquarium. This morning he was hiding under the castle as we were told he would do, but when he came out he was shedding his skin. Is this normal if not what should we do to help him. I have a 55 and a 29 gal. tank also but have never had a frog and not sure how to help him. Thanks in advance for any info. Kim

Yes, this is normal, just leave it to itself, it will do this regularly.
