Check down there. My breeding pair had babies 2 days ago...I'm the only one with them on the forum. They like a simple cage, nothing facy: basking rock, small cave to squish into, a few crickets every few days, 32 degrees or higher on basking area...astro turf. Yeah simple pets to take care of...there's lost more info down lower on forum for you, I've been talking about golds with a few people for a few days now.

If you are planning on holding it...
If it's young (6 months or younger) they can be kinda hand tamed. If it's male they are more likely to like people. Males have an orange stripe on the side, females don't (in case you don't know)

Aye thanx for the info...ya mine has that stripe on its side...the guy at PetCo said hes about 2 yrs of age...and he said not to handle him for awhile until he gets used to the surroundings...

give him a week, start with petting him. Come at him from the sides, or place a flat palm on him with slight pressue...mine calm down with that, especially when the palm covers their eyes. Since he is 2 years, you might have trouble hand taming. here's a warning: Mine have never bitten, but they can jump FAR and at a splitseconds notice. Not to mention that they are very fast...be careful.
