People seem to have a hard time with the common and scientific names of bloods and short-tails. Here are the proper names:
Blood python (Python brongersmai}
Borneo short-tailed python (Python breitensteini)
Sumatran short-tailed python (Python curtus)
When someone says they have a "Sumatran" it could mean it is a blood python(since they come from Sumatra and Malaysia) or that it is a Sumatran short-tailed python (which are only from Sumatra). And I would also like to point out that they are now three different species, not subspecies of Python curtus as they were considered before.
