I have tropical pitchers in my tank, but I got problems. First it will be doing very well due to the lack of air circulation and high humidity, and produces really big pitchers, however, after a pitcher comes to mature and opens its lid, tons and tons of fruitflies will get into it, then the pitcher will get rotten.

It's Nepenthes sp. "JUDITH FINN" , and available at Lowe's stores. Less than $10 if I remember right.

The photo was taken before frogs moved in. Now, plant is bigger, still produces pitchers, but once the lids open, they will get rotten really soon.

I still think that Neoregelia species are the best plants in a dart frog tanks. They won't get rotten, and provide spots for frogs to hide and sleep. Water between leaves also help maintaining high humidity.

Your frog can go in the pitcher and have some bad effect,

Growing neps in Vivariums is difficult. You will need a large vivarium with a low frog population. The digestive 'juice' in Neps is made of enzymes and bacteria, no acids. This means that it can only digest dead critters, many frogs will actually raise young in large pitchers without a problem. However in a small vivarium fruit flies will overfill the pitchers and cause rot.
