in mount vernon (twenty minutes outside nyc) there is a good doctor. It's been awhile since i've been there but he came to me highly recommended. he treats the animals for bronx reptiles which supply a good amount of westchester franchises (petco, petland, etc.) with reptiles. I believe it's Dr. Paul Raiti. not sure if that's proper spelling but his name seems to be well known there was a lady in the waiting room with me who had a sick RES & she drove 2&1/2 Hours from upstate just because of this doctors reputation for knowing his stuff. I dont remember what the check up cost but I know he's more money. But like anything you get what you pay for.i think his office is off Gramatan Avenue. that should be enogh info to get his number.

Contact The Animal Medical Center. May be pricey (not sure) but you have folks there that can help you.
