As of right now I have a 30gal breeder for my younger mali and well my dumb merc vapor bulb just went bad so now I am wondering if I should use a UV source or if I should just use a florescent bulb for the cage? No matter what my mali would be within 12" of it everywhere in the cage and I will have a basking bulb for him too. Anyways my main question is if it is absolutley necessary to have a uv source for a uro? I've heared many different things, and I supplement my food with rep-cal 2x's a week.
