Unless there is new scientific findings that I'm not aware of:
All beardie colors are created equal, they are nothing more then names. Pic your favorite color.

This is not entirely true. Although for the most part, a bearded dragon is a bearded dragon, there are other factors to take into consideration.

As with many animals in todays trade,(such as fish like discus and angel fish, and other reptiles like snakes in particular) new designs and color morphs are entering the market. To get a "new color" or "new pattern", significant inbreeding is done to have the trait become expressed or seen. As with inbreeding any animal, (humans included) recessive traits that cause malfunctions become more and more likely to be expressed in the phenotype. (The characteristic that is actually seen). Such things as deformities, neurological conditions, or problems specific to the species could occur. So depending on which blood line of "red" BD has had more inbreeding done, depends on which strain is the most healthy. Thus far I have not heard of or read much on problems due to over-inbreeding of BD's.

As mentioned before, and as of now, you really don't have to worry about much/any genetic problems occuring. Just wanted to put that information out there.
