I'm looking to get the best thermostats for my cages. Please take a moment and tell me about which ones you use. PLEASE feel free to e mail me if you've bought a thermostat & very please with it. I'd like to know who you'd recommend
Thanks in advance,
Dave

I use the ranco thermastat becouse I can wire up to twenty cages to one unit. I have never had any problems with it and they are commercial grade.

I use the zoomed 500R (i think thats the model) therms. They are fairly cheap in price and I have never had a problem with them. If I had the cash I would go for the helix ones.. but at this point i really dont see the need

Night Drop, 4 seperate probes for different temp zones, alarm, you name it. Great unit, like 4 helix in one. And very reasonabley priced for what it does. I have one and LOVE IT.

Most of mine are the proportional Big Apple Herp ones. I am also using some older thermostats including Microclimate DL1, Habistat, and Thermotronics. For radiant heat panels I really like the proportional feature. They also have a night drop.

No problems at all.

Ranco, I would say is by far the easiest I've used. You will just have to pick and choose the best one for you. Good luck!
