Just grab one of its jumping legs... Its not like the cricket actually needs them. plus if they are gone they cant get into the leos water or get away from the leo.

Latex gloves. My EX Gf used to use them when she fed my chameleon.

I don't have a problem with crickets, but what I do is this: I have a small clear plastic container (about the size of a small deli cup) that I put in the cricket tank, and when I need crikets I just stick my hand in and shake off one of the egg cartons on it with the desired ammount of crickets and then put the cover on the deli cup (trapping the crickets inside). This way theres very minimal contact with the crickets or no contact at all. Then I just pour the crickets into my lizards cage. They usually eat all the crickets so I would not have to remove any. Hope this helped a little.

I am actually allergic to crickets but have to feed over 40 tanks of critters. I have large bins with crickets but instead of using egg cartons, I use paper towel tubes. Just pick up a tube and shake out the needed amount of crickets into a 32 oz deli cup or whatever you dust your crickets in. Worms can be picked up using tweezers. Trust me the paper towel tubes make life much easier.

But, that was because I had heard that rumor about them eating out of the stomach of our pets.

Domesticated crickets rarely do bite...the wild ones can give you a pinch but I have yet to be bitten by one of the brown ones raised for feeders. They're exoskeleton and manidable just aren't as hard.

For crickets, it's easy to move them without touching them. All you have to do is put a clean piece of egg crate in with them and they'll climb on it. Then, shake them off where you want them and put the egg crate back in to get more. You can do it.

just think to yourself that you are keeping you leopard gecko and ur frog alive. If you still cant do it just try some type of tweisers. All you have to do to get it over with is just reach in quick and grab it and dont let it go or you could just switch to mealworms.

Perhaps using surgical gloves or dishwasing type of gloves can help. At least you will know there is something between your hands and the crickets.
