Painted turtle Capture and rescue......(pics)

Here is a baby that I caught and released back into her home. She was so light, but that shell is pretty tuff.

As for the adult female, she almost was smashed. I got her in the neck of time when I and a friend noticed her crossing and a car coming at more than 50mph! I knew the driver saw the turtle and I made them come to a stop while I picked her up from the road. She showed her appreciation by peeing all over my arm n legs! LOL. But she was definatly gravid and ready to lay eggs. I'm sure she did that the same day after I released her into another pond near-by.

P.S. These guys are way too common over here. You catch more in the road than you do in the ponds. LOL

upload to the server in the picture gallery. then when you post a message you will have the option of selecting a pic from what you uploaded. @ the bottom: "Select Image from Photo Gallery"
