Just to double check.....correct dosing of Panacur

soma215 Feb 02, 2004 12:31 PM

Hi,
I have a 9yr old female cornsnake, weighs 563 grams, who was just diagnosed w/ pinworms via fecal sample. The Vet gave me 3 syringes of .3 cc's each, to be given once per week. If someone who knows the correct dosing for Panacur could verify that this is correct, it would be greatly appreciated.

Ya know, I must have seen at least a hundred posts on this forum about Panacur dosing, now I'm kicking myself for not paying closer attention.

She's good at calculating these things. Marcia owns Golden Gate Geckos.

Sounds appropriate to me. That is a 50 mg/kg dose. The range for herps is 25-100 mg/kg. I have seen it give once every two weeks for 2-3 doses or once a week for 3-4 doses. They rec. the lower end of the dose in balls and turtles. Hope this helps.
