You guys are almost as bad as my hubby for nagging me to go to the doctor!

I didn't get to the doctor today... my hand didn't hurt TOO bad today.. in fact I do believe it's getting better. Still keeping an eye on it. Might try to see the doctor Wednesday morning... might not... ARGH. I hate doctors.

I do believe, however, that if I'd continued my regimen of contrast therapy (Heat and Cold), anti-inflammatories (NSAIDS), and hadn't USED my hand for that test on Saturday, it would be all better by now. As it is I'm paying the penalty for using it on Saturday.

And YES, I KNOW that the advice I'm being given is the BEST advice. I thank everyone for giving it to me. Just gotta start kicking myself in the butt and getting to the doctor.

I was one of the few, if not the only one, who wasn't encouraging you to go! LOL!!

It's just that, you said you'd go if it still hurt...and it does. And, this is such an odd thing, I'm curious to see what Doctor says about it.

several months for an appointment. Grrrrrrr. I don't like Doctor's either so I understand your hesitation. Good luck on whatever you decide to do.

Well, it's been 7 days since I was bitten, and while I still have pain, it's down to only about 1/3rd the intensity it was on Sunday, which leads me to believe it's healing nicely. For whatever reason my hand was severely traumatized by that random bite, but is getting better. The next time I get bit by a mouse and it acts in any way weird, I'll simply put my hand on ice from the beginning and see the doctor right away instead of waiting. In this instance seeing the doctor would probably accomplish nothing. But wanted everyone to know that I expect full recovery within a week.
