Vomiting Gecko...

FatAl Feb 02, 2004 04:15 PM

Hi when i came home from school today i found that my gecko had barfed out the food she had last night... It was quite gross... It was a solid piece and you could see crickets and butterworms half digested in it...

Anyway just wondering why this happened, should i be worried? I think it might be because i fed her alot yesterday... Is it possible that when they eat too much they vomit?

I remember that this happened a couple months ago after a big meal, but it hasnt happened since. Any info would be useful. Thanks.

They can and do vomit. Usually this happens with babies whose eyes are bigger than their stomach but it can happen with older animals as well. If it is an isolated incident and she is fat and healthy with normal stoold otherwise I wouldn't worry about it. If it starts happenening a lot or she has other symptoms I would get her checked out obviously, vomiting can be a sign of illness.
