Would a cricket eat on a human, if the human was asleep?

Gilbery007 Feb 02, 2004 04:45 PM

Hi all, quick question. Would a cricket eat on a human, if the human was asleep? I'm just curious because i read someone was allergic to crickets here on this forum a few posts down. Twice i have came up in a strange, itchy rash which i thought was through crickets biting me while i was asleep. I keep my leo's in my room but my crix in another room but when it comes feeding time some may escape because i have a red light in my room it is hard to see if ne crix escape. Ne suggestions or reasons why? Gilbery007 sorry bout the strange post lol

ha ha ha, no, your crazy. Crix dont eat on people wile there asleep. They would never be able to get in the skin. And if they did you would wake up. If yopu ever want to catch lost crix, just turn of all the lights in there room and put one light in the center of your room for about 5 minutes and watch. All the lil' crix will come up like flies.

Sorry I laughed.

They wont eat you as said before, but the can bite/pinch you. I had one get in one of my pant legs and bite/pinch me. But it wasnt like i had to go and get stictches cause i was bleeding or had an infection. I just shook my pant leg caught him and he became food right away for one of my leos.its just a like a tiny pinch..dont worry

I am to the point where I can deal with touching feeders, but I hope I never end up with a cricket in my pants I would really freak out. And hey- ouch!
