I have had luck housing females in the same cage. I have one 4x2x2 with 2 adult females, and one 4x2x2 with three sub-adult females for the time being. I like to keep two to a cage, so when another female becomes of age/size I will get another enclosure and keep 2 to each. Males and females should not be housed together because of breeding issues when older, and the overall dominance of the male over the female for food/basking spots. My females are quarantined separately for at least two months, some even longer until they are similar in length and size, and of course clean of any parasites. Females don't always take to having roommates either. They can fight just as much as a male/male can, and some dominance issues can arise even between females. Always go into buying dragons planning to house them separately. If you buy three. Have three cages for the quarantine period, and possibly permanent if they do not get along with each other. I gradually introduce my females over time, for longer and longer periods outside of their cages where I can constantly observe their actions towards each other, and seperate if need be. After a while with no showing of aggression I eventually house them in a cage that is split with clear plexi glass to observe their actions, and how they interact with each other full time for a length of time. This has worked well for me getting my females to cohabitate eventually. Thank God till this day not a show of aggression has been made towards each other.
