?S about Dried Food

Tumtum03 Feb 02, 2004 06:28 PM

My wife bought some Rep Cal pellets for me for my little guy the other day the juvi kind and she bought the wrong kind. Or should I say the wrong species! She got the Iguana pellets. I know this is a stupid ?S but would it be a big deal if I gave them to him or should I just return them and get the bearded dragons one? I was curious I didn't get to look at the two different kinds to see how much different they are in what the contain.

Thanks

D

I'm assuming she pick-up the juvi iguana rather than the juvi BD. They contain the same amount of calories...the differences are with fiber, protien and fat. The juvi iggie has more fiber, a little less protien and 1% less fat. If growth rate is a big deal to you, I would return it(although I dount it would make a big impact)...otherwise just use it and get the BD one next time.
Good luck

My little guy is 11 in and hes 2 months. Do you think that is pretty good for his age? Cause if the pellets are a big deal I will take them back! Wouldn't want to risk hurting him ya know! Thanks!!

I don't think it would hurt him at all. I would just keep it and buy the BD juvi next time. As far as the size of you dragon...your asking the wrong person...I rarely measure my animals and have not owned a gram scale in the 14 years I've kept and bred lizards.
good luck
